Senior Research Engineer
As Senior Research Engineer, you will design and run hands-on experiments in mechanochemistry and help translate successful concepts toward pilot-scale processes for a wide range of chemicals and materials. You’ll work closely with founders and other engineers, gaining direct exposure to scale-up, product strategy, and venture-backed company building. As a very early hire, this role is a rare opportunity to have an outsized impact on the company by shaping our core technology and culture.
R&D Engineering Technician
As R&D Engineering Technician at Sorion, you will build, operate, and maintain the hands-on infrastructure that enables rapid mechanochemistry R&D. You’ll assemble custom milling systems, wire temperature-control rigs, execute high-quality experiments, and support the early build-out of our pilot plant. Your work will turn experimental ideas into reliable hardware and data-producing systems, directly increasing Sorion’s scientific velocity and helping us scale from benchtop prototypes to production-ready unit operations.
Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer, Mechanochemical Systems
As Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will take full ownership of custom mechanochemical R&D systems, from first sketch to commissioned prototype. Your work will translate lab discoveries into production-ready processes that define Sorion’s core technology.
Lead Process Development Engineer
As Lead Process Development Engineer, you will own the design, development, and scale-up of Sorion’s end-to-end manufacturing processes. You’ll translate early R&D insights into reliable, safe, and economically viable pilot-scale operations across both dry solids-handling and traditional wet chemical unit operations. Your work will define how Sorion moves from concept to pilot production and beyond, shaping the core of our manufacturing technology.
